When Should You Start Looking for Your Wedding Dress?

One of the questions we get asked most often is, “When should I start looking for my wedding dress?”

Our advice is to book your bridal appointment around 12 months before your wedding. A little earlier is absolutely fine too!

Many brides worry they’re looking too early, but there’s actually a good reason to start your search well in advance. Once you’ve found the one, your dress is usually ordered especially for you and can take around 4–6 months to arrive. After that, your seamstress will normally want to see you around 2–3 months before your wedding to begin alterations and ensure your dress fits beautifully.

Before you know it, that year has flown by!
