We highly recommend coming along and starting your search for your dream wedding dress around one year before your big day, although it is never too soon to start shopping. This allows enough time for delivery of your bridal gown, which can take up to 7 months to arrive and then 3-5 months for your alterations.
Please do not worry if you are working to a smaller time scale, we offer a great selection of wedding dresses available off the peg. This means if you fell in love with a sample dress in your bridal appointment with us you can take the dress away on the day. We have our expert seamstress recommendations who are always happy to work around your time scales.

We work by appointment only in our bridal boutique. If you are looking to book your bridal appointment with us, please do this as far in advance as you can as weekends especially get booked up very quickly.

The second you walk into Bijou Bridal Studio you will be greeted by one of our friendly bridal consultants. You and your bridal party will be offered complimentary refreshments and nibbles and will sit down and have time to tell us all about your big wedding day.
We offer relaxed, no-pressure bridal appointments, we allocate up to 2 hours for your appointment, this is plenty of time to try on
as many dresses as you feel right. We will guide and help you with different styles and shapes of dresses. You are more than welcome to bring along up to three guests with you on the day.
Remember to be open to trying wedding dress styles you may not have thought of, as you never know which dress you may be saying yes to! We will guide you through your appointment
Yes, we pride ourselves in our selection of size wedding dresses we hold in stock for you to try on. Our bridal gowns start at size 6 and go up to size 32. Please do not be worried about not fitting into a dress as you will see from our reviews our selection of fitted to A-line dresses is catered for all shapes and sizes. Find our great selection of plus-size bridal gowns on our website.
When ordering in a gown, we will take your measurements and look against the designer’s size chart. We will discuss with you the best size to order for you. Once your bridal gown arrives you will then take it to your seamstress who will then alter the dress to your exact figure.
We would recommend you wear nude underwear and a strapless bra if possible. Not a problem if not as we would highly recommend not wearing a bra with your wedding dress. This may feel a little nerve-racking to some brides but please don’t worry, you’ll feel the supportive structure and boning in the bridal gowns and will find out how supportive you’ll feel after your alterations with your seamstress.
There is no need to bring anything along to your bridal appointment, however, if you have your shoes
or any accessories you are more than welcome to bring these along with you.
When you find your dream wedding dress with us, we will require a 50% part payment, we will then order your dress and the remaining balance will be due on collection. We are happy to help and can be flexible with payments if monthly payments work better for you, please feel free to mention this when you come along.
Yes, we offer a lovely range of Tiara’s to hair vines and hair clips to finish your bridal look. If you haven’t thought about whether or not you will be wearing a veil, your bridal appointment will be a great opportunity to try different veils on and explore the options. We offer different styles of veils in all lengths.
We would highly recommend booking in with your seamstress when you have said yes to your wedding dress. We offer a great selection of recommendations for local seamstresses. All seamstress recommendations are independent to us.
You will find Patridge lane car park or the swimming pool car park a short walk from the bridal shop. Please allow plenty of time for parking on weekends.
